Neal Olshey or Terry Stotts, someone getting chopped in Rip City. Paul Allen isn't shelling out all this cash for a .500 squad and yet when you look at the rest of the West and how the teams are playing the best the Blazers can hope for is the 7th seed (fighting with OKC).
OKC on Tuesday after the clippers on Monday :to:

Breh, they not gonna have him out there guarding PGs :russ: They will have him at the 3, and have your standard size guards with him to check those spots.
On Dec. 1, 76ers coach Brett Brown told the media Simmons, who underwent surgery Oct. 4 to repair a fractured right foot he suffered during a training camp scrimmage, will play point guard when he is ready to make his pro debut (which could be as soon as January). That wasn't a surprise.

But Brown saying that he plans to play Simmons, the No. 1 overall pick in June's NBA Draft, at the point on defense was unexpected. Most folks figured Jerryd Bayless, if he can overcome the sore left wrist that has plagued him since camp, or Robert Covington would face with the opposing point guard.

From the coach himself :manny: He wants Simmons to play the 1 offensively and defensively. Brown wants to play a switch everything style of defense. And that article is from our beat writer.
