Honestly I think Durant should be the MVP (he's been the best overall player this season) but he's going to get jerked the same way Lebron did when Rose won.
I see Westbrook more likely to keep his pace than Durant. Westbrook has to since he is the main and in most cases, only option on the team. Durant has Curry, Thompson and Green so it would not be wrong to think Durant won't be able to keep that pace cause they gotta get their's too. Especially Curry.

I've heard this exact same thing from pretty much everyone I've spoken to lately. Why, why, why? SMH.
It's different. It's something that hasn't been done in so many years. It's one thing to dominate in points, but when you are dominating in all three fields it shows your completeness as a player and your value to the team.

That's the problem, it doesn't show "your completeness as a player" and "value to the team". Basketball fans, shyt sports fans in general are brainwashed by believing in popularized stats like this, as if they're some accurate measure of impact when they're not. And what's worse is they think the standard of a triple double should be valued over everything else, regardless; valued over players who've actually played better collectively on both ends of the floor who're on a higher seed.

How is it not a measure of impact?

It's more and more clear to me that people aren't actually watching the games and just seeing he dropped a triple double without any context of everything else that happened.

Through 3 and 3/4th of last nights Wizards/OKC game I saw a guy who basically was content shooting his team out of the game......but he had a triple double tho.

Meanwhile Durant is literally scoring the easiest 28 points per game while having the defensive impact of some of the most elite centers in our league.

Since that's what he'll probably play in the NBA since he can't shoot or dribble :ld:

dude is 6'7" and 190 lbs (which seems like a generous weight). He's not ever playing PF. He will just be out there for defense and athleticism on the wing.

@Malta tell me how the spurs get Jahlil out of Philly :lupe:

I'm not @Gil Scott-Heroin I can't watch every game every day at the same time so I don't know much about Philly other than...they don't play Jahlil as much as they should...

Do they need a wing:lupe:...will kyle anderson and a 1st get it done?

Do they need a point guard...will kyle anderson bryn forbes and a 1st get it done?:lupe:

just some hassan info to share:TrollHassan:

Whiteside trails only Utah’s Rudy Gobert in rim protection, holding the bold souls that challenge him to just 41.3 percent shooting at the rack. For context, opponents shoot 44.2 percent when attacking Dwight Howard, 45.2 percent when attacking DeAndre Jordan, and 48 percent when attacking Anthony Davis. :whew:

You see it in his improved mid-range shooting. Whiteside now knocks down 15-to-19-foot jumpers at a 41.2 percent clip, much improved from his 35.9 percent mark from a season ago.:whoo:

On the glass, he’s in a class of his own. Not only does he lead the NBA in rebounds (15.2 per game) and offensive boards (4.6 per game), but Whiteside’s 7.2 contested boards per game is way ahead of anyone else in the league. That stat is a testament to how well he uses his strength and length to snatch rebounds others could get their paws on. :ohlawd:

hassan taking the leap :blessed:

You got it backwards if either is likely to keep this pace its Durant since he has more help to rely on and will force defenses to pay attention too...

I could see Russ slowing down in the second half from the workload and lack of help...
