I remember watching that. Why the fukk did Butler pass up that 3 point shot. Spacing is going to be terrible. Everyone looking to pass or drive it.

over passing is common with a new team trying not to step on each other toes, soon everyone will know their roles pick their spots and not pass up good shots anymore, that was not a issue for spacing, simply being too nice, as the season goes that changes. what can be taken away from that clip and entire time the starters were in, was the movement off the ball, the ball movement and that was only one of the few bad shots taken, not because of no spacing but because of over passing. you cant pass up good shots. that can be fixed easily.

im expecting a 12-14ppg 10-12 ast year, which is cool for him. as long as he plays team defense and not become a pounder of the ball im good at least this year. one thing i liked in the 1st preseason game was the fact he was giving the ball up early. allowed others to bring the ball up etc.

sat almost courtside at rockets/knicks game last night. Some of my takeaways:

rockets:
1) harden's increased usage will have him averaging double digit assists with that penetrate and dish/kick ability
2) gordon and anderson are going to get so many open 3s from harden on O but they don't play great D
3) this rockets team will score ALOT with d'antoni
4) top 3 seed in the west
5) harden will be top 2 in MVP conversation

knicks:
1) rose's first step and explosion is incredible in person, even after knee issues
2) kristaps needs ALOT more touches than he was getting
3) the ball dies in carmelo's hands
4) jennings can really handle and distribute, but is poor at the rim due to his weak frame
5) hernangomez was a good pickup as a backup big
