trying to win games as opposed to packing it in like some people suggest for a bunch of teams.
It's a tricky subject. Dallas, New York & New Orleans immediately stand out as teams who I think would be much better off getting a high lottery pick than getting a 1st round sweep.
I think Portland has invested far too much money into this team to not try to win-now. Sacramento has been out of the playoffs for so long I don't blame them. I still think Charlotte has a playoff caliber squad as is, just haven't played to their potential.
Teams like Philly, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Phoenix I think it wouldn't be a bad thing if they made the playoffs, but they also shouldn't make short-sighted moves in the name of trying to win now.
Really don't know what to make of Orlando. Lakers have the pick-protection aspect working against them.
As far as Miami, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that they're on this winning streak. It's just that like someone else said, if they were to make the playoffs you would hope that they did it off the backs of the guys who are apart of their younger core, and not vets who realistically might not be on the team at this time next year.
