The Bucks are going to have to go ahead and throw Jason Kidd in the bushes. A few of you mentioned this before about his 3 point scheme but it was really bad tonight. Jazz just got wide open corner 3 after corner 3. SMH

Is it some kind agreement that NBA players have made amongst themselves where they refuse to play someone hard or give them a hard foul...

I'm telling y'all just 8-10 years ago someone would foul Steph Curry hard just to see where he heart is at....it's like players refuse to do that now. I remember Jordan going into the paint and getting brutalized...

This is just wrong. Go look at how the Cavs have played him over the past 5 or 6 games to see how physical they've gotten with him. They've pretty much pushed the limits of what's allowed today. You can't just mug a guy anymore in this NBA without getting kicked out or getting suspended. The NBA certainly isn't going to let you mug their biggest star.

This is what the Cavs do to shut down Steph Curry

Check this out (I can't figure out how to embed this video) but RJ basically hip checks him

This is why the cavs won if you ask me...They played them tougher...especially after those first few games....I would think more teams would notice that....but your right times have just changed and the refs won't allow that style of play anymore.

OKC were more physical with Curry than any other team over the last two postseasons (noticeably more than Cleveland) - Warriors still won and Curry dominated in the back half of that series. It was more to do with the Cavs forcing Barnes and the rest of the role players to beat them.

It's the threat of the three, it has changed everything for smaller players, last year he took 5.7 a game, this year he takes 8.1.
The three point barrage has me wondering how NBA teams are going to adjust? The leaguewide dRtg is way up this season.

So much of modern defenses was predicated on zones and lots of switching which led to some of the greatest defenses of All-Time like the '11 Bulls. Locking down the paint and forcing long twos was the name of the game but threes are destroying these zones. Kidd's scheme used to force a lot of TO's on the Nets and had the Bucks as one of the best defenses but now it just gives up a ton of corner threes. How will the NBA respond to modern offenses?
