Even with all his recent success and the different rosters he's assembled over the years, he still hasn't found that Tim Duncan '07 happy medium where he can finally dial it back and let the coach's "system" or another star player do the regular season heavy lifting. That was part of the reason he joined the heatles imo but by '14 it must've felt like a glorified 09-'10 Cavs redux for him, then i remember last year with the Cavs he was sayin how the offense was going to run through KLove (iirc) then this year he said something to the same effect for Kyrie.Believe me, LeBron leading the league in minutes will have an effect come postseason (he's averaging TWO minutes more than last year). And even if we were to ignore those long term postseason effects of his min averages; it doesn't bode well when this squad can't beat lottery teams on a regular basis with him playing nearly 40 mins a night. He was suppose to take a back seat this season and then ramp up his minutes near the back quarter - that hasn't happened - in fact it's been quite the opposite.
There's a # of teams in the East that can push them (even if not one team, but a three-team collective effort), certainly more than the Finals cakewalk they've essentially had for the last two years. If the Cavs keep continuing along this path with no squad alterations or notable improvements, they'll be gassed out before they even get to the Finals.

And last couple years he's been doin that thing where he pretty much dictates when the timeouts are going to be called and when he's going to sub himself out by literally just walking to the bench no fukks given lol. I think he's long since had the exact same concerns you're alluding to as far as minutes, continuous Finals seasons piling up and his own age. i feel he's lowkey been trying to recreate that Popovich/Duncan longevity initiative for a while now.
