Jokic talent level offensively is . It looks like he's playing at the park and shyt with how easy he makes it look.
He has an astronomical usage rate and is fouling at a ridiculously high rate. He is amazing but I'm not crowning him in his rookie year on a minutes restriction not playing back to backs.
Also, Gobert is near him in FG% in the paint while seeing more attempts (contesting 14 shots a game), and leads the league in defensive win shares, defensive box plus minus, and defensive rating.
The one that sent him to the ground wasn't even almost dirty.
Man, the way he fell today, nobody's safe from that. I think he gets hirt so much because he's handling all the teams responsibilities from the paint, and he's banging all game. A player like Russ is at the gaurd spot and not taking all those hits from bigs. AD's in trouble if they can't find someone to take that presure off of him.Yea honestly its because physically he's still not strong enough. Which is tough because he's packed on about 20 pounds since he's come into the league.
If he can keep strengthening his core and his base he can avoid getting totally bodied like he did on that particular play.
I love dude but he's gonna have his career cut short if he doesn't continue to build his body

No, he isn't better at guarding the rim than Gobert again he sees less attempts it matters and he isn't a better overall defender. Gobert is leading the league in damn near every defensive category and is a better M2M post defender. He has a high usage rate, ok and? The fact he can score efficiently with the talent around him is a testament to his talent. They're running offense through him and he's getting better at finding open people and dealing with doubles.
He's better at guarding the rim than Gobert, that is a statement of fact Also, I'm ready to crown him because as much as I love Gobert's game, you'll never see the Jazz running offense through him or feeding him in late game situations to close out a team. The Sixers were going to Embiid down the stretch, there's no other center in the NBA that provides elite level skills on both sides of the ball, period. The gap between Embiid & Gobert on defense is small, the gap between them on offense is massive, and this is coming from someone who got clowned for having Gobert on his top 5 centers under 25 list 3 years ago.

I can agree with thatI hear you....I just feel like part of the problem is the fact that he loses his balance fairly easily. Freak plays happen sure....but there's a reason why they seem to happen to him more than your average player.
Once his base gets stronger he"ll be able to absorb the impact better therefore improving the way he lands.

Rudy does not foul he has an excellent foul rate for such a great rim protector, Embiid is averaging nearly 5.5 fouls per 36 minutes. Embiid would be struggling to stay in games and be fouling out if he was playing bigger minutes he's still a rookie who is gonna have his lapses in terms of discipline. Embiid does not experience fatigue playing 25 minutes and no back-to-backs. I still see a guy turning the ball over and fouling a ton. Sixers aren't very good so his impact is massive. He has the potential to not only be the best defensive player or best center but best player in the game. But, I'm not crowning him just yet.
He's better than Rudy just not on defense, defensive win shares ain't the only stat. Is he a better M2M post defender, P&R defender, does he defend the perimeter on switches as well? Rim protection isn't the end all be all of defense for a big man. I don't know why you acting like minutes and the fatigue of back to backs don't matter. He sees less attempts because he plays less minutes, on a per minute basis they are roughly the same. I don't care about defensive win shares, Drummond is 3rd in the league and he's been horrific defensively this year and has been getting worse guarding the rim.
Rudy fouled as a rookie, it's why he didn't play much Embiid is averaging 5.5 fouls per 36, now talk about his other per 36 numbers, like the 28ppg, 11rpg, 3apg, 3bpg you know, prime Shaq type of numbers. Notice, you're only talking about defense, Gobert will never be on the same footing as Embiid on offense, you say he's turning the ball over, he's one of the few centers seeing a hard double. The Bucks sent Parker to double him today the first time he touched the ball, teams have no regard for his teammates at time and will send a PG over from the other side of the court to double him. He's got the crown, and he'll only get better.
Would Rudy be winning games with this Sixers team? Of course not

Prime Shaq numbers with 5+ turnovers, 5+ fouls, '06 Kobe usage rate, and without the 60% TS
Is he already better than DMC? Wanna hear your opinion given they little bout and exchange of words.
