Why you say that breh

Cuz i dont see how you have access to film from every game plus private workouts and make such big mistakes

I like deangelo and think he will be good....but he struggled against lengthy athletic defenders in college

They compared him to harden and curry, but hes not nearly as strong or explosive as harden

He cant handle the ball or shoot like curry and hes not nearly as quick

I thought okafor was the pick.....i dont have all the access to info on porzingis like scouts do at the draft so i couldnt argue taking porzingis over okafor

Way to early to make this prediction. They felt like russell was the only player with elite upside. They didnt draft him for the first 15 games. Hell most of the media thought russell was the only player with elite upside. If you look at his skill set he actually has the least holes in his game maybe outside of karl towns. They drafted him knowing his weaknesses were athleticism so the thought of them making a mistake on drafting him because he aint that athletic is dumb because thats been apart of his scouting report since the beginning. Another flaw in your mindset is you are comparing him to the harden and curry that you see today, they had to define their games to what it is now. Rookie d'angelo handles are miles ahead of rookie currys and hardens, court vision 2

No im not

I watched harden as a rookie...he struggled...but he could get to the rim at will. He just wasnt good at finishing contested shots and he hadnt mastered flopping yet

Rookie steph looked a hell of a lot better than deangelo

Again....i think he will be good.

You didnt address his college struggles

It is crazy that they didn't do their due diligence on Porzingis. Just goes to show how flawed their thinking is. They probably don't even scout overseas. I can understand taking Russell over Okafor but when you have the 2nd pick you have to consider all options, and it seems like they never had the stones to take a big risk on a Euro.

To be honest, I doubt Byron would play Porzingis. He would have him come off the bench behind Randle, playing less than 20 minutes right now.

Everyone have games where they struggle in college and most players struggle against longer athletic defenders, i dont feel like he had a strong team in college like a Kentucky or duke 2 help take that pressure off of him to perform every game

joerger is hollins, just 20 years younger, and less melanin. both are trash. He had a dope ass team with z-bo, marc, rudy, conley, with mayo and speights off the bench, yet got outcoached by vinny del negro:scust:

And Hollins contract wasn't renewed, and he publicly bad-mouthed the FO. Can't be doing that.
have nerds run the FO brehs. Team had talent but hollinger ruined wateva they had going for them

if you followed lakers you would know they were very very very impressed by porzingis and @ #2 they were considering Russell and Porzingis not okafor

they liked porzingis and would have probably taken him at 4th, but instead we won the 2nd pick. :mjcry:

and I keep having to say this, but stats do lie. okafor would not have been a better pick for us, we already have awful defenders and randle isn't there yet. if we took okafor we'd be giving up 120 points nightly. not even noel can cover up okafor's defensive flaws and he's one of the best defenders in the league. And yes, i am aware that okafor can block shots, but he gives up a lot of easy buckets too.

Hollinger is a stat nerd. The 3 pointer is a necessity in today's game to anyone who values analytics. Do you think he chose to have no shooters on the team? It's fukking Memphis, they have no options in free agency. Their team is made up of draft picks and guys no one else wanted.

We're still 3 or 4 years away from this being fact. Randle is making okafor look like a bad pick because him and jah wouldnt be able to play with each other. Towns was inavailable, and no one really thought porzingis would pan out.

Need to watch mudiay tho because he might be the pick LA slept on
