They both shoot 49% TS witch is awful, but 1 player is obviously less detrimental to an offense. Let's not completely ignore that Green is one of the best perimeter defenders in the entire NBA.

BPM:
Green = 2.7(OBPM -0.2/ DBPM 3.0)
Waiters = -2.1(OBPM -1.5/ DBPM -0.6)
That's a massive difference on offense and defense.

NetRTG(Ortg-Drtg)
Green / 99-99 = 0
Waiters / 99 - 108 = -9

Vorp:
Green = 2.4
Waiters = -0.1

ESPN RPM:
Danny Green is 5th in the NBA among SG. 2.79

We need his damn offense how the fukk we go from kawhi to be a possible Bruce Bowen type guy to what he is now

To green being a 3 point scorer elite to a Bruce Bowen light

Green is good on D he hasn't been consistent this year at all tho so it makes it that much worse for us

He was that guy u pass for that 3 or maybe a deep 2
Now he that guy who shoots in the stands and hits kids in the head with his basketball

He has had too many defensive breakdowns this season but when he plays like he suppose too he is elite on D

We didn't expect this fukker offense to disappear like that I'm amazed we got a record like we do cuz of it
Green usually gives us easily at least 10 ppg that shyt is gone period

Out here like Tony Allen with a broken air ball shot and Allen out here scoring this season

The fact that you need to use advanced stats and netratings to try and prove a guy who started 79 games is better than a guy who started 15 games doesn't bode well for your arguement....

And the problem with these advanced stats is that they are based around the fact that Danny is playing with Leonard and Duncan...who are 2 and 3 for DRTG...

So a guy who plays with two top 5 DRTG guys has a high DRTG himself...go figure

Also...being one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA...which Danny is... is pretty fukking useless when all the other guy has to do to be more productive than you is make a 3 pointer, 2 pointer, and 2 free throws...

Did you really use RPM... Danny Green played with two of the top 5 defenders in all of the NBA this year and you are using RPM to try and goose his numbers...he's playing with Kawhi fukking Leonard next to him and Tim fukking Duncan guarding the paint and you using RPM

He is...it's just that he is so bad on offense that a player only has to make a few baskets to negate Danny's defense...

If a guy makes 3 shots...congratulations...he just outscored Danny Green...

And you cannot even begin to quantify how his poor shooting just chokes the court off...toward the end of the year teams have just completely stopped guarding him and double Kawhi the very second he touches the ball, which is why Kawhi shooting fell off down the stretch...

Why do people act like advanced stats are some mythical numbers that we somehow discovered in a secret box? They are stats just like the simple stats you use such as Fg%, PPG, and rpg. I didn't need shyt to know who's better between Danny Green and Dion fukking Waiters, you apparently do by even thinking Green is comparable to Waiters as a player.

That isn't how Drtg works or the whole team would be together. Which isn't the case, which is why Parker is nowhere near the rest of the starting 5. Pacers only have 2 in the top 20 and they are the 3rd best defense in the league. Hawks(2nd best defense) have 5 in the top 20 and Teague isn't one of them.

Danny Green has been posting great defensive numbers every year since 2014, this isn't new or a one time thing.
