Draymond's defensive workload is :wow: -

1st in defending isolation attempts (20 more than the second most player) - holding players to 29.7% shooting and 0.6 points per possession
2nd in defending post-up attempts - (Okafor is 1st with 12 more) - holding players to 33.3% shooting and 0.6 points per possession

Crazy how one player can be at the top of both categories.

how are the 76ers 1-27. Thats tragic as hell. They're like the reverse warriors.

[Rant]

I understand not wanting to be a treadmill team, but being historically bad after 2 seasons of being one of the worst teams in their league? Where is the progress?

Plus they have very little to show for it.

I'm glad you mentioned the Warriors too. They were bad for about 4-5 seasons but drafted their championship core during that time.

09 Curry (top 10)
11 Thompson (lottery)
12 Green (High 2nd round)
12 Barnes (Top 10)

It shows this idea can work, but the execution by the 76ers is bad.

@pete clemenza please explain to me why Doc refuses to take DJ out when they start hacking? It kills momentum :damn:
Not to mention he still insists that his son is a pg which he is not. And the small ball- 2nd unit has been a colossal failure all season long. Run Stevenson at point, put Austin at the two guard, Wes Johnson at the three, Josh Smith at the four, and Cole Aldrich at center. Give small minutes to Paul Pierce and Jamal.. activate CJ Wilcox and the rook Branden Dawson and see if they can contribute- its their turn. You can't have a 2nd unit of 5 ISO players all out to get theirs and can't rebound on top of that. And the better teams in the league have 2-3 backup 7 footers on their squads while we're doing a horrible small ball lineup:snoop:

Doc has the players but he's full of sh*t and his ego is full blown. He won't make adjustments at all. His whole way of thinking is this: DJ will get better at the line I just have to leave him out there to improve, Paul Pierce and Jamal will turn it around I just have to keep giving them minutes, Austin will become a good pg I just have to leave him in the game mistakes and all, the small ball lineup with Josh Smith at center will work eventually I just have to keep believing in it and stick with it, etc. And after it keeps failing game after game after game its always up to Blake and CP3 to save the day at the end of the game. This is the problem. Popavich will yank niccas if they're not playing up to par. I wish Blake would grow a pair and speak up on this sh*t and make some comments and call the coaching staff out. A real superstar would've done this a long time ago.

-Went from Lobcity to damn near playing unwatchable basketball. Man I wish we had a new coach breh. Doc is literally killin' Blake and CP3's prime years:mjcry:

Wes Johnson is the Jeff Fisher of the nba. He looks the part. Long, athletic, good shooting form, but I font like him and I dont trust him. I'd rather Blake take 2 corner 3s a gm than him.

I can't believe we're still not playing Wilcox and dawson

You can build through the draft without being historically bad. You notice how none of the warriors were top 3 picks. Philly thinks they can just get the top pick each year and be competitive in a couple years that's not how it works.

imo you guys have the personnel to compete with the Spurs and Warriors and it shows because every time you play them the games are competitive. But Doc really seems incompetent

Yeah not taking anything away from Kawhi, but shyt if you get the most first-placed votes for DPOY - you should win it. It's a stupid system. More media personnel believed Draymond was the best defensive player, but on a technicality of not getting 2nd and third placed votes he lost out. Then you had this idiot who forgot to add Draymond to his list, and then tried to change it to add him - unsuccessfully.

Defensive Player of the Year voter admits he just forgot about Draymond Green

"First off, an apology is needed to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

On this ballot, a Defensive Player of the Year award was one of the selections, and Green was completely ignored. He deserves consideration, and may just win the award though he wasn’t picked on my ballot.

When thinking of the candidates, Green’s name just slipped my mind, as Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, Memphis center Marc Gasol, and San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard were the selections made. Once it was discovered Green was forgotten, a change was sought but after selections are submitted, all votes are final."

Defensive Player of the Year voter admits he just forgot about Draymond Green
Draymond Green received the most first-place votes for the NBA's defensive player of the year award, but narrowly missed out on the honor as he finished in second place.

San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard took home the honor on Thursday, narrowly beating out the former Saginaw High and Michigan State star in his third season with the Golden State Warriors.

Leonard had 333 total points in the final voting, compared to 317 for Green. But Green also had 45 first-place votes, compared to 37 for Leonard.

The award is voted on by a panel of 129 sportswriters and broadcasters, who each vote for their top three. Players receive five points for a first-place vote, three for a second-place vote and one for a third-place vote.

Green received the most first-place votes, but was also left off of 42 ballots.Leonard, by comparison, was left off of only 26 ballots.

How the hell 32% of the voters left him off their ballots I don't know. :heh:
