I always thought Serge could've been a HOF all-time great PF with at least a semblance of a back-to-basket game. He's such a physical specimen, and he's pretty much said "fukk that shyt imma shoot". :damn:

He could've been the best PF in the league if he was even a solid PnR player who just finished the roll, he could easily put up 25 a night if he got the ball enough. That, combined with his rebounding and shot blocking

Wasted. :snoop:

Not to say he's a bad player, excellent player with an excellent game. Perfect role player for this Thunder team. But damn...:wow:

I blame OKC for not abusing him in the pnr. If he was on another team, that's all they would ran for him. pnr and pnp.

rondo barely played last year, and courtney lee, jerryd bayless, and jared sullinger had more unassisted makes. so what's the excuse now? he played in every game too. took the most shots, and couldn't create.

If you're talking about actual makes and not percentages than you're wrong.

Green - 206 unassisted makes (57% assisted on a total of 482 makes)
Sullinger - 173 unassisted makes (55% assisted on a total of 384 makes)
Lee - 118 unassisted makes (60% assisted on a total of 295 makes - 54% in Boston)
Bayless - 115 unassisted makes (53% assisted on a total of 248 makes - 55% in Boston)

Their %s on assisted shots made are near-identical.

And this isn't really about what happened last season because this is the first season where he's been aggressive on the offensive end and I'm not saying that his shot-creation ability is that of an elite wing, just that for a wing-man there isn't too many better - he can put the ball on the floor, drive baseline/down the lane, play above the rim, runners off either elbow etc etc.
just look at tonight: did most of his damage with the 2nd unit. didn't do much of anything with the starters. made all but 1 shot uncontested. made none when he tried to put the ball on the floor.
He did most of his damage with the 2nd unit because he came off the bench and played most of his minutes with that personnel. Only two of his made shots were 'directly' assisted - a 3-pt shot and a cut for a dunk where he lost his man, he put the ball on the floor and created space for himself on the others. His ability to create has never really been the problem, it's been his apathetic approach to the game, letting others cook and working off them.

No 3-pt shooter would have put those numbers up in various ways like he has over the previous two games.
