Lol. Phone didn't get my entire post.....Apple sucks...
The Thunder just moving on through the standings like Moses before the Red Sea it's amazing
A big part of that difference is in how James himself is playing. Earlier in the season he was doing a lot more ball stopping. Both him and Kyrie were. Of late the ball has been moving a lot more and nowhere near as sticky as it was earlier in the season which means more touches for everybody.
During the early part of the season, Kyrie Irving was maligned for his low assist totals amidst the Cleveland Cavaliers' struggles on offense.
The Cavaliers have changed their system over the past month since their loss at Utah Jazz in which Irving had no assists.
"He was playing off the ball. This is where the Cavs have made incredible strides over the last month. Since that Utah game, LeBron (James) has taken over basically as the point guard and Kyrie has allowed him to do it.
"(Against the Knicks) you saw LeBron running the show and Kyrie being the No. 2. The difference was LeBron was setting people up. The team had 19 assists. LeBron had 12 of them, six of those assists went to Kyrie. He puts up 37 points on a night where LeBron isn't going great offensive and his assists didn't matter as much because the team was operating differently.
"Because he's giving less energy on the offensive end, Kyrie is expending that energy on the defensive end playing some of the best defense of his career."
David Blatt has also left Irving on the floor at the beginning of the second and fourth quarters during James' time on the bench.
i dont really know what they expected from dukeAny truth to these Stevenson to the nets rumors brehs? They gave up on dude already?
Lebron's assist totals and field goal attempts haven't gone up much at all. Hell Kyrie's haven't really changed either. He was seeing the ball plenty early in the system but was playing up and down. Some games he would be extra aggressive and looking to force his scoring and others would barely shoot for long stretches and pass the ball off. I think the turn around is everyone actually buying into the offense more and moving the ball around more, mainly Lebron and Kyrie. Kyrie is being more selective in how and when he attacks instead of catching the ball and looking to isolate as he was doing. James is doing the same.Early in the year lebron was letting Kyrie run the show but he like everybody else realized, Kyrie doesn't really look to set up other players. He's a SG in a PG body.So what did Lebron/Cavs do?

This simplified the game for Kyrie and allows him to look for his own offense w/o worrying about setting up other players
The majority of those stats are from his last three games, basing them on how well he's played compared to the rest of his games (where he hasn't played as well). So really that adds more weight to my argument, since this discussion was talking about the first 17 games. Kyrie had the higher offensive rating through that stretch, so those #s really don't mean shyt, since you'll find that those on/off court numbers would be similar to Kyrie's.
This is what happens when dudes hop in a discussion midway through.
