He's a good coach but I can't gauge that yet with this team cause Doc The GM has failed Doc The Coach. He inherited Blake, DJ, CP3 and Crawford and those three are the reason we're still swimming instead of sinking. And Vinny only sat DJ late in the 4th was because DJ couldn't hit his free throws and guess what he's improved as a whole but he still can't hit free throws even under Doc. The thing I liked about Doc initially was that the players were now accountable cause Doc has a ring. Vinny The Black was the scapegoat for everything. I just didn't know that Doc was in love with old washed up players like he is.. and it makes you wonder where his career as a coach would be if Danny Ainge hadn't gotten him the Big Three in their primes. He's just so bad at evaluating talent and building a roster. And he's so loyal to these players that its affecting his coaching which is why I'm questioning his coaching. But we'll see how things go in the post season where things really count. He might be alright since the bench is shortened and there's days of rest inbetween games.ok hold up, let me say this. the doc rivers hate is getting out of hand now. the clippers are a half game out of 3rd in the west, with a team thats weak on the wings, and has no bench. theyve been winning games despite blake being injured, and people are trying to sh!t on doc ? why ?
and he absolutely had a part to play in making DJ a better player because he showed confidence in him and challenged him. del negro wouldnt even play him in the 4th quarter.
i do think hes made poor moves as a gm, but hes still a great coach as far as im concerned.
