What the hell are you dudes doing out there? Yall playing like you want to make the playoffs.

gotta be somewhat respectable to re-build the brand to help solidify stevens and make it seem like less of a shyt-hole for free agents. stevens is establishing a meritocracy of sorts in terms of rotations..its keeping players pretty fresh in game. im sure they'll trade at least one of bass, thornton or prince (perhaps turner too) before the deadline and kelly will be back after a couple weeks so that should help pile up losses

Is Sullinger in shape? I've been meaning to ask this to a Celtics fan. He looks like he's hands down the fattest player in the NBA

lol well thats debatable. he gets a lot of minutes and has been playing well...is he technically out of shape? probably a bit, yeah. but i think hes better off this way right now. hes too short to lose weight and be effective. most of his success in the post is from spacing due to his weight and lower body strength...theyve also been having him shoot a bunch from deep so that probably keeps him a bit less tired than he otherwise would...additionally, he's playing the 4 every night instead of the 5 here and there like last year.

i dont want him losing any weight. if he can lose fat and add muscle to replace it..cool. but thats not gonna really happen mid-season at all.

Fair enough, but these wins are ultimately meaningless (players will barely weigh into account these measly lil off-brand victories, they'll be a footnote when FA rolls around), given the backdrop of Boston is always going to be the same to free agents. At least yall still have all those aces up your sleeve with the duffle bag full of picks- better get those pom poms ready for the Slovenian dragon.

*keeps tabs on Celtics when they lose without baby McHale*

Well...they may see that players are getting a legit chance to play and earn minutes...and agents will see that too. They'll also note the up-tempo offense (3rd in pace) which could be attractive. We've also had some tough losses against good teams and generally havent gotten embarrassed as much as a team with our record would normally have been..some players may see all that with a young coach that has gained a bit of cred because of it and see it as more favorable than otherwise...particularly with less question marks around with Rondo and Green gone...so a big name who wants to be "the guy" can more legitimately feel that way.

At the same time..a few victories here and there may not ultimately matter all that much in the lotto %'s. It could mean up to 3 or 4 spots potentially..which would seem bad..but ya never know who Danny is targeting. His guy might fall to him at 7, for instance, if he doesnt have a preference outside of Okafor etc. So if he cant swing a worthwhile trade to move up...and doesnt see much of a difference in his 2nd tier guys..it wont matter. Worst case scenario is we trade up..best case we strike gold and save picks.

Dont you worry about the Dragon. :mjpls:
