All those cities you named are warm weather beaches nice club scene cities with some not having state income taxes on checks. The Spurs have had the bulk of the roster pretty much the same for nearly a decade (and almost broke that up for Kidd). The rest of it is made up of draft picks and guys chasing rings.

They also signed Allan Houston who was respected at the time. I never said the northeast was a place people wanted to play I said NY was. Tyson Chandler and Amare also signed there so you have to take that into account.

You're assuming people don't view those guys any differently than the guys that got bought out now. We're talking about Granger, Butler, Earl Clark, Big Baby, Bynum earlier. And as much as I hate the Spurs, they'll be ok
