That won't stop anyone from drafting him. The days of a nikka forcing where he gets drafted are over. They'll draft his ass and dare him to sit out.
Rob Pelinka is known as a scumbag agent by most though. So anything is possible with him. Exum seems pretty arrogant though, can be a good thing or a bad thing. He let it be known that he wants to play with either the Lakers or the Magic because he is friends with Oladipo. He is only 19 though, so he could just play overseas if he wants for 2-3 years if he wants to play hard ball.

After 3 years he's off the rookie scale just like Nikola Mirotic and before that, Splitter.

If he is as good as you think he is there's not a GM in the league that won't draft him and wait him out. There's no where he could go and make more money than in the NBA just off endorsements alone if he's good. You think nikkas like Derrick Williams wanted to be drafted by Minny? He went where he was drafted just like every other rookie does. You seen Brandon Knight's face when Detroit drafted him? You think he wanted to go there?

Yes, which is why he was drafted by them.

Williams wanted to go to either Cleveland or Minny because they were 1/2. He had no problems with it since he wanted to go as high as possible.

That's not even close to an example. Ricky was not against playing for Minnesota. That was all financial.

A better example woulda been Nikola Pekovic. He went 31st in 2008 because his agent said "look, he's already staying for at least 2 years, if you pick him in round 1 he'll never play here". He did that to avoid the rookie scale. 2 years later, he shows up, 3 years after that, gets $60 mil. His agent knew what he was doing.

:yeshrug: Than its all on the team that drafts a player that is disgruntled and they would have to deal with it. Just look at how Nikola Pekovic got drafted. :patrice: Don't count out Pelinka and the way he handles things. Dion Waiter wasn't on anyone's radar in the 2012 draft, than out of nowhere Dion Waiters' stock went up out of nowhere leading up to the draft, supposedly had a promise with the Raptors, and than he somehow ended up with the Cav's at the number four pick, even though he didn't work out for them, making Dion Waiters and his agent big money by getting selected in the lottery.
