Dude is about to luck himself into coaching ANOTHER #1 pick (Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin)
2 actually, if you include Kyire

:russ:
:ohhh:

That shyt is insane

:mindblown:

And both Rose and Griffin had the best years of their careers the following season after he left. Don't do it Cleveland

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Steve Kerr, Derek Fisher, Mark Jackson, Jason Kidd

I don't like this trend. I'ma be all over, but, whatever.

We are effectively moving into the "Now-Now-Now" era in basketball to where we're not even waiting for ppl to stop playin' before we talmbout them coaching.

Fish ain't no coach, but, he's wanted by the Lakers and NY before he's even done playin.

You have to coach years to learn how to get it right. But, now you just have to be able to be liked by players.

What about a guy like Pat Ewing whos been doing his due diligence on the sidelines as an assisstant. Ewing prolly isn't "networking" correcting .

Steve Kerr seems like the "yes man" these nu age ownership groups are lookin to hire.

Based on what I hear; Mark Jackson was a ra-ra guy and got by on talent. That was cool until he butthead with managment. That's why it was so easy to move him. Lionel Hollims didn't get renewed for everything else except basketball. Managment wanted someone's to be a puppet (see Jorger in a headset suggestion).

Jason Kidd had a bunch of talent to help him. Does he turn that team around with just D Will and Lopez.

I rather a black coach, coach, than a black player (Sry, M Jax).

All these banker guys, going to stats, analytics, owning teams, is creating a good ol boys netwrk--a sophiscated one, but good ol none the less.

Players are gonna be coaches to be yes man, just personality mangers while they let the stats do the real coaching.

Brian Shaw should have time to develop. He did it the right way--assistant behind great coaches, but, may have maybe a year or two in DEN.

Regardless, I think its a disturbing trend

Agreed. I don't think this happens in any other sport. Can you imagine Chris Collinsworth or some NFL stats guy coming in out of nowhere to coach a team. These NBA organizations have become so impatient that it has to make college coaches think twice. I don't like it either. Organizations aren't developing within. they are either signing some retread coach or some guy with little coaching experience.

I wish the real world operated like that.

Just put $50K Colicash on the combined score being less than 199. Should be easy money, right? :patrice:
