LeBatard reported today that the Heat rejected the 76ers offer of Evan Turner for Udonis Haslem because they are loyal to him.

They cut ties with Miller and Joel so I would've thought the team would've understood if Haslem got moved to make the team better.

I'm shocked that didn't get more press.

Riles is a stand up guy.
Nah, UD is a Florida boy & has been with the Heat since 03. He also has sacrificed alot of money to stay with the Heat. Riles is all about family & loyalty.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I'm sure. It had nothing to do to juxtapose the "disloyal" Pacers with the "upstanding" Pat Riley :russ: shyt is straight :duck:

Dan spent most of his show today defending why the Heat should've said no to the deal. You probably should listen to what he was saying before you form your opinion on what his intentions were by bringing up the deal.

Most local reporters start to get details of all the deals that were left on the table a few weeks after the trade deadline.

In about 15 minutes we bout to find out if the Pelicans are gonna be apart of #rigginforwiggins :guilty:
Their pick belongs to Philly. :mjpls:

To add to the Turner/Haslem discussion, I don't think Turner would help Miami at all. Either LeBron or Wade is going to be on the court at all times and Turner can't shoot, so what purpose would he serve?

Is Wade going to hold up? :mjpls:

Jerry West isn’t impressed with the current state of the NBA or the 2014 NBA Draft class.

Not at all.

“Just look at the league, this is the weakest I’ve ever seen this league,”the NBA legend told Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Rusillo on ESPN Radio. “The weakest. And we are depending on people who go to school for a year to come in and change the fortunes of franchises, rarely does that ever happen.

“And everyone is talking about an incredible draft class this year, I think it’s just the opposite, I think it’s a poor one myself. There are going to be prospects there. But these franchises have really struggled. At one time you could get a branded name, these kids are not branded today. They’re not branded

“And by that I mean kids who have played in school for three or four years and comes out and people know who he is. He’s tutored, he’s more mature, more experienced. Those kinds of players come in and make an impact right away. But if you look at some of these kids, it takes about three years for them to get going. And for a team that’s really struggling, you’re selling your fans that this player’s going to make us better. Most of the time it does not happen today.”
