Somebody started another thread in TLR on this, but I'm on this 30 day water challenge and today is day seven. Gallon of water a day for 30 days, no alcohol, sodas, juices, etc. Only hard thing to give up is the alcohol, I drink a little damn near daily. Weight is down a little so far, but I really don't have a lot of weight to lose. Just really trying to get cleansed out from a lot of alcohol over the past however many months. Hopefully when March comes around, I'll see some really worthwhile results.

Listening to this interview on Fresh Air with Terry Groce with a science writer who wrote a book on recovery. Talks about electrolytes, overhydrating, the downside of icing, inflammation is good, massages really just make you feel good not much of anything else. A lot of good info being given out.
Idk if it's up online yet but ill try to link it later. it should be here when it's posted

Yea gonna hop on that wave as well. I may just do it for entire Lenten season (March 6th - April 21st) since I usually give up alcohol and meat during Lent. I also throw in Friday fasting as well. I have about 24 days till Lent begins so think I may just go from now until the Easter on that challenge. 1 gallon a day and no alcohol. The fasting portion I'll do for actual Lent. Idk if I'll do meatless Mondays and Fridays or go the whole period meatless.

I'll probably log-off all Social media as well. Coli included. I digress

The water part is pretty easy for me M-F. It's easy to sit at your desk and just gulp all day. The alcohol part might can be tough, especially on the weekends. Outside of going out (which I've pretty much written off until summer starts on Memorial Day Weekend), I do enjoy having a bottle of wine over the weekend. Saturdays while doing chores I'll have music playing while sipping some wine.

Gonna ease back into my gym schedule now that my hours at work have kind of returned to normal. I'm no longer gonna negotiate my gym time. Worse comes to worse, I'll take my laptop home and work when I get there AFTER the gym.

Now that I can't play soccer like I used to, I gotta keep my mental health clear with the gym instead.

Plus I miss "tightness" in my body :mjcry:

Yeah I like to drink watching some games. NBA kicking in to the second half gear now, all star weekend coming up. Tough to hold off. Guess I'll be finished by March Madness time tho, but damn. Looking forward to seeing how the results can be keeps me going.
