Anyone else notice an uptick in people at the gym :dahell: . People haven’t quite figured out to spam 5:30, but I’m seeing a lot more people earlier at 6. Why can’t these New Year’s resolutioners just die off.

I even notice an uptick on Friday and Saturday morning.

Who the duck goes to the gym on Saturday morning except me and couple other people.

Good thing I’m maxing out, to scare off people from the power rack.

My gym only got like 5-6 more people at my normal time thankfully.


What’s more concerning is the people that be there everyday and ain’t got no better. One guy been quarter squatting 315 for a year and still like 30percent body fat :huhldup:

If my grip slips at 300lbs on straight leg dead lifts, would you suggest I switch to mixed grip OR use straps?

(Not doing whatever grip @Son Goku suggested as it feels super uncomfortable, I think he said hook)

His advice was for pendlay rows because my forearm muscles were my limiting factor. I’m asking this as a follow up since it’s still an issue


I might use straps sometimes but they don't seem to really help. SymmetricStrength says they're legal.

Mixed grip? Supination? I don't do that for deads, the fukk Imma do that for rows? :mjtf:

I’m always of the thought that you don’t let your grip limit targeting a muscle group via movement.

Movements relative to competition are a different conversation.

Gave the battle ropes a try a few times last week, serious arm workout. Gonna take some time to build up the ability to do those for minutes at a time.
