They don't, and can't, buy them legally. That's why his argument wasn't about or against gun control, background checks etc., but the fact that Obama has passed so many executive orders and continues to seek stricter gun laws through them instead of trying to work with Congress to find better solutions. He's warning against a dictatorship without coming right out and saying it.

And you think the people that have these weapons care about the law. More people get stabbed to death than with the automatics. Shoot, a few years back at the height of all the ban assault rifle craziness, but people were beaten to death with fist than the rifles that they were trying to ban. As far as murder is concerned, pistols will always be the weapon of choice. So then what will we say now? Ban all guns. Guess what? The police, military, and criminals will still have those joints

You can't legally buy anything more than a semi-automatic in the US. He says that in the video. And if you make them illegal to buy, it won't stop criminals from getting their hands on them either, that's the issue. The laws regarding guns don't deter illegal guns very much, if at all.

That's what most people don't seem to understand. They say you don't need guns for hunting or whatever but that's not what's it's about its about being able to protect yourself from govt if they ever step out of line.
Best believe the CIA and police Departments ect. have automatic weapons. I'd be all for the ban if it means we take the guns from them too.
Yea man it's sad that most people are completely ignorant to the real reason the right to keep and bear arms was put in place initially. We've basically become everything the founding fathers fought for freedom from in the first place, and most people have no clue.
As for the whole gun ban I agree, but we're talking some really next level shyt with that though unfortunately. We'd basically have to arrive at/evolve to a new level of human thinking/consciousness to put a system in place that we could actually trust that controls them in a way that they are only there to protect against an outside threat. Even then we'd only be a handful of corrupt officials away from those being turned right against us, so that's why I say we'd have to really evolve to a new level of thinking as a whole species.

I ask because in the post you quoted I already clearly laid out the issue. The laws wouldn't stop criminals from acquiring guns, they'd stop law abiding citizens from acquiring guns as protection against criminals, and more importantly a corrupt government.
And if you think the dictatorship answer is "retarded" you should really study up on history and the current state of US politics much more.
