An interesting talk from Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali, about Islam's legal philosophy.
The western democracies propagate a hyper-punitive caricature of Islam. However, the reality is, the west will apply its laws and punishments based on what is perceived to be politically expedient at that moment. There is no real foundation of ethical justice with these enemies of Islam. This is evident from the recent persecution of Mahmoud Khalil:

Facts.
Islam forbids what the West love making money of. Alcool, sexe industry, gambling, interest, debauchery. Islam goes against these abomination. In a part, thats the West go against Islam. They like their "freedom" and follow their passions so much they don't know it's that what going to destroy them (us too?)..

Imam Earl Abdulmalik Mohammed is at the head of one of the largest Black American Muslim communities. He has been a teacher and spokesman of Islam for many years.
Probably the two most despised and suppressed ideologies, with respect to the ethos and norms of the United States, are Islam and Communism. This talk gives a lot of insight to the Qur'anic biblical and historical context of these two schools of thought - and where they overlap and where they diverge

A very informative talk from Dr. Rudolph 'Butch' Ware, on the West African histories and traditions within Islam. Dr. Ware is scholar of history, and a "boots on the ground" activist and politician. Currently running for governor of California for the Green party, his anti-imperialist stances is much needed in the American political arena.
Here Dr. Ware is speaking, briefly, on the politics, commerce, education, and culture of Western Africa with respect to it's early interactions with Islam. The "spread by the sword" rhetoric against Islam is, oddly enough, both a western liberal as well as western conservative ahistorical talking point. Islam is a threat to a western hegemony that is overwhelming predicated on violent imperialism, and never-ending exploitation.
