I don't know if this is the same everywhere but I'm sure it's pretty close.

In North Carolina prisons there are "Muslims" who are essentially gangbangers. They'll be involved in the violence, the drugs, everything. When I got to my second prison, I remember dudes being like, you need to go to Jummah to meet and greet the meet and greets were done on your block, on yard call, or at Jummah.

I was 18 at the time and while I was always somewhat of a loner, I was 18, still somewhat impressionable, so I went to Jummah a few times. Man that shyt was a gangbanging convention Brothers are in there straight politicking about all kinds of unreligious shyt, but it was a way to get away with affiliating because you can catch a charge for associating with known gang members, if you are a known gang member yourself.

It's prison so ultimately all the police already know that guys be on criminal shyt in there, one of their sources of information is from shyt like that. I know that once I witnessed otherwise unaffiliated "Muslims" in there fukking with the drugs and playing with knives, I knew all that shyt was a ruse can't recall how many I went to, I think 3 or 4 and then I wrapped it up. Wasn't my scene and it really does be like a convention in that mf, packs of nikkas politicking all kinds of shyt.
