To make the plot thicker Pete Nice is not co-signing Serch and having fun at his expense. 
Yeah I think Lord Seer is corny for that because he said it like Serch said he wrote for Rakim and Rakim spit it and recorded it. When that’s never what Serch said. He’s always told the same story that Cohen asked him to write a song for Rakim without Rakim’s knowledge and when Eric B found out, he went crazy on Cohen. And Rakim didn’t know the story, so he’s just going off what Seer had said. That’s wack for him to do.

ya I find it a little weird that serch looked @ that as an “honor”...he should’ve realized how insulting that would be to an MC of rakim’s stature and the potential fallout it could cause especially during that time in hip hop when your pen was everything...to have someone ask you to write a song for him behind his back lol smh
