Rakim Recording New Music With Pharrell

I think rappers today are using too many different producers per album. I think you only need beats from about 3 different beatmakers.

The Pharrell collab doesnt sound enticing. I would like to hear him with some Showbiz, Bink, Black Milk, etc...but thats just 3 guys. There are soooo many guys who could hook him up with some good beats that are befitting of his style. I mean...Statik Selektah, Jake One, I am sure Just Blaze would work with him....and so on. In fact, I'll bet u Primo would do a whole album for him, lol. I would rather hear that than any Pharrell/Ra tracks.

this is what i was thinking as well man. Rakim is known for his rugged laidback delivery.

and while pharrell beats are good i just cant see him spitting over this , however he did rhyme over that DJ Quik Beat that sounded alot like a neptunes production

yep shouldn't underestimate the god, you cant forgot that he jump started the hiphop/r&b collabos with Jody Whatley, the god can flow over any type of production. Pharrell could make hard beats for him like Cot Damn..don't sleep

Seventh seal only had one bad hook and one poor maino feature as its only detractor.
That was a great album!
Some definitive rnb collabo records and records as big or Better than em's sing for the moment as well.

Next time you need to quantify comments like this when you blaspheme the gawd.
