Did Rakim sign with Mass Appeal or something else? How many albums is Rakim contracted for?

Nas created an initiative to give the forefathers and pioneers of Hip Hop their deserved flowers by giving them 500K and free healthcare for life.

Rakim and Scarface were the inaugural recipients.

Very cool and generous. Is Nas funding the whole thing or is it taking from other donors as well?

Interesting. On one hand, I can see it benefiting various hip-hop veterans.

On the other hand, these rich white Jews going out of their way to do this brings up a lot of questions. We all know there's a catch to this and we're probably going to see in the distant future how they weaponize this.
