I wonder what a Rakim and Eminem song would've sounded like if they would've worked together back then.

:mjcry: me too. i remember that interview. 2002 would've been the perfect time for both of them.

Em was still in his prime, before the Fofty influence

Rakim is timeless, and he'd just slaughtered the Jay and Truth Hurts features :picard:

Yup, that would've been the perfect time for them to work together on a song.

I just remembered, Rakim had a song on the 8 Mile Soundtrack :wow:

@Ziggiy was obviously talking about how respected Em was...not how respectful he was. It should be obvious.

I disagree with what he meant anyway. Em deserves the respect he gets from everyone from KRS to Ra to even enemies like Canibus to MGK to contemporaries like Jay and Nas to Kendrick and Cole from the later generation to Ye and Wayne who were...around the same time as he.

Coli just racist and dweeb

i think a lot of them are really undercover whites :francis:

like most of the coli

a lot of them likely stanned him bacc in the day and resent him now

since a lot of them put hella energy into shytting on him and are familiar with all of his material :comeon:

Never knew about this interview before. Good read. :ehh:

One of the most interesting things here is that Eminem didn't like his performance on the MMLP at the time. He said it in another interview in 2002 (maybe Rolling Stone) that he didn't like the fact that he was falling behind the beat and he stopped doing that on TES. It's crazy to see how candid he was about his music. Nowadays, he'll defend most of his music choices while complaining about people who have an issue with them. :snoop:
