stat wise hes' very good but i wanna see what he does on a team with no prestige and without 3 superstars. then i'll place my judgement then.

That argument is deaded breh, he puts up numbers regardless of whos playing. The fact that he controls the game better than any PG not named CP3 deads that superstar argument as well. Also, if it were so easy to get that many assist numbers with 3 superstars, why doesnt Mario Chalmers average that many assists?

Yeah it's easier to score with a great PG than it is to get an assist with a great player. In other words, Ray Allen is benefiting more from Rondo than Rondo is benefiting from him. Ray Allen can't create his own shot. He's a deadly shooter but he needs someone to get him a good look. Rondo is always gonna get open shot for his teammates, superstars or not. Most NBA players can hit wide open shots, that's why a good PG is valuable.

Steve Nash definitely didn't fall off when Amare left town. It's just now others can benefit from Nash's gifts. :manny:

Exactly, the way he sets his teammates up is a thing of beauty.

He's inconsistent, Cs still need a pg that can hit a J

Hes been pretty damn consistent during the playoffs. Even with a halfway broken jumper, hes still putting in work. Hes not a 2, he doesnt need to be taking all those shots. Westbrook and Rose clouds yall nikkas judgment when it comes to point guards

I agree that Rose is more of a pure PG than Westbrook. But PGs shouldn't be leading their teams in shot attempts. Especially by that far.

Well if your PG is your teams best scorer than it's hard not to lead the team in shot attempts.

Give rose, Durant Harden, them old big 3 nikkas and he wouldn't lead those teams in shot attempts

He's a threat because he get's into the lane at will. If you're not threatened by your entire defense being broken down you must be named Mike D'Antoni or something.

And if you leave him open, he can burn you from deep.

So it sounds like you're agreeing with me that Rose is a better pure PG than Westbrook because Russ plays with Durant and Harden and still fires more shots than the 4th of July :russ:.

But a good PG will get open shots for his teammates. That's the point. Those other guys can't create shots for themselves. A good PG will get them open looks so they don't have to.

Rondo needs to stop passing up layups to get assists though. Nothing makes me more tight than seeing this nikka get all the way to the cup then dumping it off for a missed layup or jumper
