So I'm thinking about getting a new game but I've never played a Rainbow Six or any Tom Clancy title really:jbhmm: am I going to end up butchered if I start with this or what? Just curious how steep the learning curve is, haven't played ANYTHING online since I got my PS4, I don't want to feel like I spent my money to be somebody elses cannon fodder :mjcry:
All of my friends are waiting for the division instead of this:francis:
I just got it yesterday and played about 2 1/2 hours. I think I did alright for the first time playing for real. You'd have to ask @Mowgli. First few rounds I was completely lost and just fell back and followed everyone else's lead. Every round I got more comfortable and learned something new. The game is very fun. One big thing about it though that can make the experience fun or completely kill it is that you HAVE to communicate. So playing with people you're comfortable with is the best way to go. You can't just lone wolf this game and expect to do alright like most other shooters. The game is designed specifically to force you to move slow and with purpose. Personally I think it's a good game to have for those times you feel like a change of pace. I find my self tired of the run and gun shooters and this really feels like a different shooter altogether. I would say get it if you have a head set and are willing to talk to people. If not, pass on this one.

You stopped communicating a bit after you started getting that work. We did straight though. My kD went up .1 :blessed:

Casual that joint out until you get some Operators and a good feel for the game and maps.
Yeah that's what I wanted to do by dboy hit me with like 10 invites back to back and wouldn't let me run the solo joints in peace. By the end of the night I unlocked 3 or 4 operators. I just had to get used to the different gameplay mechanics. I still have a lot to learn but I have an overall decent grasp of it now.

Why was there someone on a light pole in the beginning?
There are cameras outside of the maps when you first spawn in the match. It's essential to take out all the cameras you encounter. The Defending team relies on the cameras to pinpoint where the Attacking team is coming from. If you leave them up, you're giving them information that you really don't want them to have.

Yeah I found this out last night. Mowgli has an eagle eye for those cameras.
