Rafa on clay is as dominant as any athlete has probably ever been

4 RG wins without losin a set, only pushed to 5 sets 3 times in 116 matches and 17 years apart from first and last title :gucci:

That last loss he was :flabbynsick:damn near crippled and still almost won a set against Zverev who lost in 5 to Carlos in final

He really only lost while healthy against Djokovic twice a top 3 clay player ever either 2 or 3 wit Borg and Soderling which was some Buster Douglas KOing Mike Tyson historical upset

Sorderling beating him in the 2009 French open is a top 10 upset in the history of sports

Yeah I remember that Soderling L. I still have that pink Nike jersey, at the time, I was a fierce Nadal stan lol

Before 2009, the French crowd still vastly prefered Fed and was a bit ambivalent with Nadal. He was respected but it was obvious he wasn't liked like that because he was TOO dominant even when his knees were shaky (which they were in '09)

And during the first set, the crowd started a bit empty and filled up as Soderling was beating Rafa bad. You could sense the crowd wanting him to lose so Fed could get the GS he was lacking.

I spent that whole remaining '09 French Open hate watching. That's actually when I began a Delpo fan because he was giving Fed that work in the first 3 sets:mjlol:
