If anything the North is worse when it comes down to racism compared to the south. Especially on the level of segregated areas and gentrification is concerned. I remember moving to GA from PA and my mind was blown. Like some random old white dude waved at me as he was driving, the shyt blew my mind. Along with the over racist tones which I rarely encountered in Philly beyond the typical sneaky shyt (clutched purse, lame jokes, and so forth). It was crazy how diverse some areas of the south can be, versus feeling like the only speck in certain areas of Philly (mainly South Philly and some parts of the North East).
