Racist or Am I Overreacting?

I'm having a conversation w/ a white lady at my job and she tells me she's taking a trip to Boston. Since I've never been, I ask about how the city is. She goes on about how much at home she feels and how safe she felt there. Then out of nowhere she compares it to how unsafe she felt in Dallas. It kind of struck me the wrong way because Boston is know to have a lot of whites and Dallas is known for more blacks. When I asked her where her hometown was, she told me the city (it has a high black population) and in a high pitched voice she said "the ghettoooo"

Also, we had to take random drug tests last week and when I was called to take mine, three white people told me "good luck" with a lil smirk on their faces..

Am I tripping or is there a lil funny action going on here?
