the difference between this and the Sal Alosi(sp) one is Tomlin is the HC, he of all the people on his staff shouldnt be doing shyt like that
its unacceptable either case but i understand why they levied a harsher penalty. Sal was just a strength coach. Tomlin more or less is the face of the steelers and his actions trickle down to his staff. They had to make an example cause it was ridiculous that he even would attempt that.
CACS, c00ns and their supporters want so DESPERATELY to make it seem like race is never a factor. It may not be in this particular case, but who knows?, ive seen too much as a black man on this earth in this country to ever just concede that white peoples actions arent tainted by racism. I dont give a fukk about how others view it, but cacs havent done shyt to ever earn the benefit of the doubt. They LOVE making examples out of black people fam

Before today, neither you nor anyone else would have thought of holding Rex Ryan accountable for the actions of a strength and conditioning coach. Now that it's Tomlin who did it, everything has to be rethoughtIt could be argued that the trip was sent out by the HC Rex Ryan. Alosi was only fined 25K BY THE JETS NOT THE LEAGUE (the team was fined 100K), so should Rex Ryan had been held accountable?
so where the racism at in this breh?

This thread is really bizarre.
Tomlin deserved to be fined. He made an obvious mistake, admitted and owned up to it. His behavior was not acceptable. Trying to debate the amount of the fine is a waste of time. Fines is NBA/NFL (leagues I watch) are never consistent.
The draft pick thing, if it happens, is over the top but would punish the Steelers as an organization more-so than Tomlin. I highly doubt that the NFL is going to use racism to justify a punishment against a team that may have one of the BEST track records race relations wise in the NFL.
I understand always being aware of race and the impact it has but if you want to point to racism the burden of proof is on the accuser. There's been absolutely 0 indication that there was any prejudice/racism involved here at all. That's not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt it's just being objective.
There's no way they should take a draft pick, doesn't even make sense. If they do I hope it's a throwaway pick like 7th round or compensatory pick.
not if he's black
