I understand that one is a trainer and the other a coach but- Sal clearly intentionally and successfully tripped a player and effected the play. We can speculate about his intentions or whether or not Jacoby would have scored, but they would just be that- speculations.
Brotha needs to be fined for not knowing where he was on the field. He should have not been in the white area. But to hurt an entire franchise? Just because?
But if you establish a precedent that a head coach interfering with a play will just result in a lil punk ass fine and nothing more, then from the NFL's pov they could theoretically encourage another coach to "accidentally" do it in a big spot, and cost the opponent a score. Again, you cant compare that Sal fukka to this tomlin situation because the former was fired....no coach would risk losing their job, but they would certainly risk a fine (which the owner would surely pay for), if thats the established penalty. Just saying that I can see the NFL's perspective on this, if they choose to go in that direction.
