I’m like
@ORDER_66 now...i didn’t know.
and I followed the suns when it was him, Jason Kidd, Rex Chaplin, Guggliota, Marion....small ball.
@MooseMouthMthafuga can tell you about those teams
My memory's a lil hazy about that squad.Especially '96-'99.I was a big Jason Kidd fan, but the rest of that squad was a band of overachievers.Googs stayed injured.
Rex was a decent low 2nd/3rd tier SG.I remember guys like George McCloud getting a lot of burn.People look back at Kidd's stats sheet in retrospect and try to
judge his game by that, but the 90's was a different product.He really would will the Suns to 40- 50 wins every year.The way the game was played back then, he was
instant chemistry.A one man army of that shyt.Elevated the play of everyone around him..Team was just stuck in mediocrity.You knew the ceiling was a 1st rd exit.Every
damn year.Matrix got drafted at the tail end of that run.That had me hyped, but then the wheels fell off.Cliff got traded for smoking weed.Kidd had the infamous french fry
incident with his wife.They shipped him to New Jerz for Stephon Marbury.Team became even more mediocre after that.A year or two of
until they drafted Amare
and traded for ISO Joe.Actually made the playoff that year and gave the Spurs a run for their money.Marbury hit the "tear drop" to beat the Spurs in gm 1 of the opening rd.
Replaced Marbury with Nash a season later....
