I think the most important part of the story is bringing light to the additional ties that Trump has and why his taxes can put these things to bed.

She covered most of this in a previous episode, but getting a national spotlight on it can reinvigorate the pressure to have these things released (and/or a whistle blower with access might be more inclined to give them something juicier)
