I grew up with an aunt who is obsessed with Tina. Love this woman. Absolutely one of the best voices in music ever. RIP to the Queen of Rock and Roll

With all due respect to her musical legacy, calling Africans lazy, after having lived through segregation & Pan African/black power movements is downright disrespectful.

She's from a generation that birthed Bob Marley, Angela Davies, Eldridge Cleaver, Assata Shakur, etc. so saying "she was a product of her time" doesn't wash, either.

She clearly can be argued as one of the GOAT Vocalist. Ike really saw something special in her and knew she was unique vocally. This is why Ike and Tina are on the Rock Hall of Fame and Tina is in there by herself. She's on that rare list with Michael Jackson. Ike and Tina changed the game and despite the drama I respect both of them for what did in Black History and music. I notice all the headlines are "Queen of Rock and Roll." Well if she's Queen than Ike is one of if not the Kings for sure. Sorry Elvis, your not even top five in my book. Several of Black Artist are ahead of him including Ike and Tina.
