Thats one way u can look at it, I grew up in one of the worst hoods in the heart of uptown and did wild shyt. I never killed nobody tho, but I wasnt making enough money on the streets to justify being targeted either. U just got to stay out them type of situations and hope for best

One cat came in and he heard the news from us. He said he was just in the Magnolia earlier that day but he didn't hear about it. He looked like he was about to start crying.
I used to work at the Plaza and on a few occasions people asked me if I was a hitman. At the time I didn't know what to make of it but the more I thought about it I realized that people was trying to hire me. That's how easy it is to get someone kilt in the city, just pay a known hitman and it's done. I done met cats who had caught multiple bodies and they out walking around free. It's not only easy to get kilt yourself or get someone kilt down there but it's also easy to get away with it. It's a sad city bruh. One of the chicks I worked with told me that after she get off the bus coming home from work she would literally run home! Women be gettin' kilt for not wanting to give dudes they phone number and crazy ish like that.
I'm not going to lie to you, it's hard as hell not to get caught up in either being kilt or even killing someone. Cats LOVE to beef down there and like you said in your other post, murdering is like a badge of honor. There is a level of pride in killing. Not sure how it is after Katrina but before you might look at somebody wrong and kilt for it right then and there. I kid you not!

Yep...We never really pay attention to the flaws or dirt people have on them when they make a real impact on us. Ol' magnolia slim spent damn near a decade of his life in a heroin/cocaine haze doing dirt to support his habit and moonlighting as a rapper.

Dude has said multiple times on and off record that when he had that monkey on his back he was jacking/robbing people left and right and taking hits on folks head just to support that habit. The nikka gave no fukks and was just straight up cutthroat. Many N.O. folks came out and said the dude who whacked slim was an NY transplant who made a name for himself as a hitman for hire. Dude lived in the florida projects, the same projects where bg was selling plat/gold albums and walking around with the fiends doped out of his mind. Came up the same way slim did, addiction and all. This guy killed magnolia slim for 15k and walked around on some omar shyt for damn near 2-3 years.
One last thing. Slim was on some pac shyt in his last days, dissing baby and p on and off record. Remember P and Pimp C, Baby and Yella Boy
