Shoulda done this from the jump. Cortana and MC story is done, been done. Bungie left the franchise where they did for a reason, they painted themselves into a corner. There is nothing you can do with those characters that won't feel like you're just digging up a grave and cheapening what came before.

MC did his duty and now he's MIA like all real spartans.

You know what's stupid is that humanity in the halo series loosing bad against the covenant the war aint never gonna be over... now the game writers will never need an ending just MP games that never end... only on gamepass...

Halo 4 was the last good campaign in the series anyway. They lost me with the evil Cortana shyt in Guardians and then completely deaded the story in Infinite. Halo is one of the games that benefitted from linear mission structure, much more fun to breeze through that way. Never touching Infinite campaign again.

No real loss from what I’ve seen, story of halo has always been corny.

I, for one, enjoyed the Halo story. So many plotholes to create a black hole in a universe with, but it was still good.

Same for me that opening mission and the whole buildup to releasing the Didact was crazy. Best weapon variety, the Chief and Cortana relationship at it's peak and a decent villain with motivation. They even did a creation of humanity story that made sense for the Halo world if you're into that.

Man, I wish 343 would fix the MP anticheat shyt for the Steam Deck, because I have been craving to get back into MCC. People slept on Halo's 4 MP which was extended on Halo 5 and we all seen how that went

Oh nah I gotta disagree there that's the multi that exposed 343 not being able to create multiplayer maps in the same league as Bungie. I don't hate Halo 5 or Infinite multi but the maps as a whole don't hit for me.
