Rest in Peace to him. Stayed out of the limelight in the era where behind the scenes people craved attention, but fans of the genre knew about his big impact in music.
And he was one of the few who stayed true to his crew. No one out of DF has said anything bad bout him. They say he let them keep all their publishing when they (kast, goodie) signed deals instead of taking a percentage

As a fan and more, this one stings. Man was literally a hero and curator to the southern soundtrack of my youth. Not only that, was a hero to southern cats who for so long was disregarded in hip hop cause booty shake was the sound that defined the region. Made a lot of Black folks proud to be from the south. Man has CLASSICS under his belt. I’m forever grateful. RIP Rico
