Phife absolutely floated on 'The Hop'. OJ, Kato, Johnny Carson, Left Eye, Megadeath, Method Man, Das Efx, Chris Tucker. Kinda sounded like he was going off the tip too.

one positive thing that can come out of phife's passing is the exposure some of the younger brehs and brehettes may get to atcq. one of the best groups ever, not just in hip hop but all music. i always respected how they played their lane during the gangsta rap / bucktown era. and that's no diss to west coast or east coast, but more of a testament to how tribe made ok to not conform to the popular trend of that time.

He knew he had diabetes when he was with tribe and didn't even tell them at first. Then he was like, he was addicted to sugar and kept eating junk food.
After tribe broke up they actually got back together to go on tour because phife needed a kidney transplant so it was to help him raise money. His wife ended up giving him one of her kidneys because she was a match. This was in 2008.
But I guess he never learned and kept eating bullshyt.
