One thing that always stood out to me about Irv was his fukking passion

Dude genuinely LOVED hip hop he LOVED creating and that jumped out of the screen with it

He lived his life to the max and set up his family for life with that massive catalogue sale

Bro, you have a right to your feelings but to be fair, you have to put it all in context. They were well into their beef before any blackballing took place. By all accounts, 50 started this beef and for no real reason. According to 50, he was at a video shoot with the guy that had robbed Ja previously. He got mad when Ja wouldn't speak to him. So much so that 50 claimed he left the video and decided to come back to do something to Ja, but an "OG who was holding them down" (I'm assuming Preme) stopped him before he could do anything. That's when 50 started dissing and taking shots relentlessly.

Before things spiraled all the way out of control, reputables from both sides organized a meeting with Ja and 50 to squash the beef. What did 50 do at the meeting? Snuffed Ja and took his chain and rapped about it.

You're framing this as Irv being a bully who was just blocking a nice guy from being able to make music when it wasn't that simple.

Okay, thank you. And respect. To be truthful, I started losing alot of respect for 50 later on. When he expanded I to t.v and losing focus on rap.

I'm sorry, but the way I've seen Irv over the years is why I have my perspective on him.

I do recognize he had his hand in production. But did he produce alone? Like Premier?

If there are reasons why he is a great let me know.

I feel history isn't going to give Murder Inc the credit they deserve because of the way 50 Cent got Ja out the way.

That run was special and precious to anyone my age. Anybody from the age of 30-40 got a soft spot for Murder Inc.

Don't know much about the life he lead, but thanks for that for sure. RIP.
