Ja's early run to me, as a 13-14 yeasr old was a dope time in the game. Obviously some of is just coming of age, but if you were around when Can I Get A
first dropped, Ja easily had the best verse, everyone talked about it. The summer when Holla Holla came out, I had those Tommy boxers like Ja in the video. It was an iconic moment. There's actually a pic of me around summer 1999, wearing no shirt, and a black wife beater (where did I get that from) and a chain, craxy baggy Tommy jeans, with a crazy ass look on my face, for a kid whose Mom was taking the pic.

And the next few years, Murder Inc ran the charts and the radio. The summer of 1999 was a classic time for music and my life. And Ja kinda ran the summer. I actually got Ja's debut the same day I saw The Wild Wild West in theaters lol now that ages me.

Between Me And You was fire too.

Eventually it burned out, and they overreached, but they had a legendary run.
