Good to see some former daphatspot/onsmash posters. I didn't know Yams personally but I remember him from there and other places on the net, circa 2004-2009. Bruh had such a big personality that it feels like we knew him. Not many people shared his level of enthusiasm for rap and urban culture. The game is going to be boring as f*** now. It was already boring, and Yams was one the few reasons to still follow rap.

"Did you go to college at all?

I did try college for one semester at BMCC, but I took my student loan and got some gold teeth. I didn’t get no books."

Appreciate that but I'll be straight. I'm more sorry for the L the culture has taken. Some might say what? How? but I knew Stevie. He was mad passionate about music as you can see from the Real nikka Tumblr days, the Choppas on Deck days. Mad intelligent and witty brother and he DIDN'T OD. The actual facts will surface but out of respect for my mans, I won't speak on it because it's irrelevant to me. All I know is; I won't see him again or will be able to speak to him again.

its crazy cause he ain't even a rapper, but yams death makes me want to step back from the genre as a whole man. Deflating to say the least, knowing that Yams' insight won't be shared any more, and especially tough because we won't see how he would've further shaped the industry.

Too unique of a person for the industry to lose right now.

Word.

Watch these rappers get on heroin like they in New Orleans... Actavis doesn't make syrup anymore and they say that other codeine isn't as good, they got us again.
I don't know much about prescription pills but if I'm not mistaken a lot of the people that were hooked on oxis a few years back are strung out on dope now

That's just how I personally feel. Not to be overly dramatic, but some of us are hurt. I've been bored with rap for years and only got back into it to see what Yams would bring to the game. That's just me personally. I know everybody doesn't feel the same way.
