I actually have a vivid memory of being on a balcony with one of my older homies, world class simp, but also world class womanizer, from a very powerful family, and we are with some girl who is like a an influencer, and she tells me he straight up messaged her everyday to take her out for a YEAR. And she finally just said yes.

There’s really no difference in the modern times

Case by case
I date one(8 months so far) and it's making me question if I made the right decision in dating her because of her culture and "How Jamaican's act". I've heard different things such as them not taking no for answer.

But the story is that she got into a car accident on Thanksgiving coming to see me and my family and I was there with her for a few days until I had to leave to head back home and she upset with until I came back a few days later. Fast forward to a week and half ago and I had to go back to see her to help her do some errands before she left to go to Jamaica (which is where she is from) to spend time with family for a few weeks. Due to work I wasn't able to make it and when I told her she got upset and since then we have not spoken.

Its more to it(I'm noticing her behavior is the best when people don't come through for her) but it's making me second guess my relationship with her somewhat.

Her concept on family is askew. She didn't grow up with her parents(they split up with she a child) and she grew up with her grandmother. She desires to have a family but I think when you don't grow up in a typical family dynamic that's hard to accomplish without some form of understanding especially when you're dating someone not from your country.

Has she reached or is she not responding?

How old is she?

damaged goods. You have people wanting to recreate their child hood but apply imaginary standards/requirements that they feel will make things perfect when in reality they are just spraying their trauma on everyone.

Nobody had a perfect childhood, and those with trauma should at least focus on healing and then saying "hey I just want to be with someone who I am attracted to and get along with, everything else we can work out together".
