if it's hard that means you already invested too much emotions in the chick. the way to do it is to check yourself as soon as you start to feel it creep in and everytime you feel it creep in. don't take anything too personal and realize that your ego is sometimes your worst enemy.So yeah, I definitely co-sign on the putting your emotions in your pocket. shyt will get you compromised out here.

you hear your girl tell you how much she loves you and how she never met another guy who made her this open and how you're the only guy who can make her feel safe and blablabla and suddenly you start beliveing you're the coolest dude in the world. she tells you that you own that p*ssy forever. once you start believing that shyt, that's when you're in deep trouble. cause then "feeling like The MAN" totally depends on her cause she's the one who makes these statements. Never think your game is so great. you think she didn't tell her ex how great he fukks and how good he makes her feel while she was flirting with you? and it was a couple of weeks before you hooked up with her...
the trick is, don't take anything too personal. even the good stuff don't take it personal...

the way she starts to act all serious and how she catches feeling, that's a reaction to a certain type of behavior/demeanor on your end. if you want her her to stay serious/keep those feelings, continue that behavior. if letting your guard down somehow changes the vibe you give off or if it somehow means a shift in your behavior, that's most likely the reason why she switched up on you. that's most likely what it is. just remain the same dude.
or maybe she's just a flaky bytch. either way don't worry too much about them. "don't chase them, replace them"

Yeah, I know now that the game is never over.
Sucks that it has to be that way, but I'm getting used to it.
Can be a little problematic when you have to self-examine and micromanage every little behavior you exhibit to make sure you're not giving off weakness, or just to watch your vibe so closely in general.
