Women are taking dating apps less and less seriously as time goes on I've been using them consistently for the past decade and the difference in dynamic is astounding. We talked a little bit on the app and I got her number. I came home and was bored,so I hit her up.We met up at a bar like a block or 2 away from her place. I didn't recognize her at first because she looked a lot better in her pictures. It's like the difference between a hot girl and her less attractive sister. She looked similar to her pics, but like years removed (and weight added).
The conversation was weak at first, but after a little bit, we got pretty chatty with some fun banter going. She was laughing at my jokes and seemed to be enjoying herself. At one point, I tried to go in for a kiss, but she was like, "We're at the bar!" The place we were at had like this round bar that encircled the room; that's all it had. I thought she was one of those chicks who aren't into public displays of affection. We had a couple more drinks and I walked her home.
At her door, we hugged and she closed the door on me. Like it wasn't a slam or anything dramatic, but she clearly closed it on my face. Even if she wasn't feelin' me, it seemed excessive for a date that just didn't work out.
There was a nearby couple that witnessed the event unfold. They laughed and had sympathy for me. I walked to nearby McDonald's got some McNuggets and took a Lyft home.
women are strange. Looking over the years it’s been funny. There’s been dates where the girl seemed totally uninterested and I pretty much just chalked the date up as an L only for her to text me thanking me for the date and can’t wait to see me again and we hookup shortly after. Exactly. I would have done what @George Gooney did or at the very least set her straight. Not even five seconds into a date and she's already coming with the bullshyt. It would only get worse. The only positive is that she revealed herself to be an idiot sooner rather than later which is a good thing.
