Yes they were:dwillhuh:

I was editing this into my OG post but since you quoted it:

Rafael kept it 100 about the fight. Cotto looked really good and broke down a cruiserweight.

But no one is getting a pat on the back for weight-draining Top 10 guys with mileage when they're A-side fighters who could have been fighting elite competition in PPV encounters. Cotto been on a lot of fukkshyt with that belt, and he looked very good (and I was one that thought Geale had a serious chance), but at the end of the day, this last year has been a fukking charade, and when there's fights he could have been making nothing he does is going to make up for that.

Also, let's not act like Rosenthal hyped up Geale or something in the GGG piece. He says he's a solid, world class fighter (which he is) that had no hope of winning because of the ability GGG showed. Now that we already know what Geale looks like against someone elite, someone else is supposed to get props for doing the same thing a year later AND weight-drained AND they're not the reason that better fights didn't happen? :why:

If he called Geale a can for Cotto and a world beater for GGG you'd have a point. But he didn't. He called Geale probably not better than the best GGG had faced before and then for Cotto saying that Geale's limitations (which we know fully now post-GGG because he got destroyed) make the fight uninteresting.

My issue is Media nikkas having wet dreams over dude N putting him top 5 P4P N saying he beats errybody...while they Give him passes for the weak resume

Same nikkas shyt on Wilder for his kos over bums...theres no bu bu but he's exciting bu bu bu but he's active... defense team :stopitslime:

HBO is corny with the push too...its like when WWE took something organic like People doin the Fandango N ruined it with Michael Cole telling people to do it...same shyt making him pretend he's messican N drama show punchline erry sentence

And thats all this is really about. If you're not a middleweight, fine, drop the belt. But don't expect high praise when you tell everyone you're the middleweight champion and that all your fights for that belt will be at catchweights because nobody tells you what to do.

Well, the middleweight limit is 160 so anything from 155-160 is fair game... And if GGG is willing to go to 154 for Mayweather, I don't wanna hear shyt about him or his fans not liking a catchweight for Cotto, the 4th biggest draw in boxing. Sorry @krackdagawd :manny:

Now, if he was requiring a catchweight OVER the limit and still holding on to the belt, it's a problem

No. But I don't see Gennady going for broke trying to fight them either. Saying he would, is not saying, "I will only fight under my circumstances and all my fights at 160 will be at a catchweight".

:duck: team GGG been telling the media to push Floyd and Canelo

It ain't Cotto and Canelo fault that nikka old as fukk and hasn't fought a damn soul. They'll fight him when they're ready.

Media has a double standard with a lot of guys. Look at the whole Stevenson/Kovalev thing. It's obvious who the media is siding with on that one.

GGG is the most entertaining fighter in the sport to me and is the best MW in the world and will not lose at 160 for some time. That's my thoughts on him.

Media been downplaying Cotto's resurgence with Roach though. I really felt this fight proved the Cotto/Roach combo is legit. I still think GGG would bludgeon Miguel cause it's a bad match up but I see a match up with Canelo as even right now.

I don't see anything wrong with the articles in question and yall kno I been very outspoken about GGG MW bum padding resume...

Cotton is a cherry picking diva who hasn't taken a challenging fight in 3 years since losing to Trout and is holding the MW strap hostage...That's why people like me clown him...I don't hate the nikka, I just don't like this diva bullshyt...Geale was exposed as nothing more than average boxer by GGG...Instead of fighting the winner of that bout like a real champ would do Cotton fought the loser and fought him at a CW...I don't see how anyone can cosign that bullshyt...Cotton did exactly what he was supposed to do on Saturday, impress against a can and some of yall are giving him props for it which is exactly what he and HBO want...Same with GGG he KO's cans and builds even more hype but he's getting the bigger company push because he's the newer star...

yep just how the media shytted on holmes for c00ney. maybe the first time the true champ was forced to walk out first.:snoop: media always been biased towards their ''great white hopes''.

b-hop has came out criticizing philly for having a statue of a fictional boxer(rocky) but nothing for joe frazier. this subtle bullshyt still goes on today in ''post racial america".:sas2:

also the wilder(and im not a big fan) hate is looking more and more suspect to me to. at first i didnt believe it but both of them got around 33 fights and high ko% against nothing but cans to c fighters. but wilder gets treated like hes complete shyt on every boxing forum i visit and the media dosent hype him as much. nikka doing the same thing ggg doing but hes a pretender while ggg is automatically the real deal.:russ:

people might be uncomfortable with it or be in denial , but its the truth.:manny:
