Anybody join the National Guard? I've been looking into that lately. :patrice:

I'm in the Army NG. I joined almost 5 years ago. You get to do state and federal missions in the Guard, I got to help with security and helping tourists when the Pope came to Philly in September

I saw this chick in the club the same night her husband deployed...then on dates and shyt b4 he probably made his first call home. Another one put her husbands stuff in storage and moved to another state with her new man while her husband was deployed for 15mths. Dude came home thinking he was about to surprise her on his R&R to someone renting out his home [they gave him his mail a a key to his storage...and on top of that the chick took $10k out of their savings]... he ended up tracking her down and beating her bf ass and choked her out...got put out of the military after that]. So of these chicks are just that grimy

Jody is a motherfukker :wow:

So, you like it? Do work on base regularly or do you have a civilian job?

I have a regular civilian job and yeah, I've enjoyed my time for the most part. The commitment is just one weekend a month and two weeks a year. The 2 weeks part is AT (Annual Training) where you basically go out and do things related to whatever job you get. The toughest part is that since the Guard is a reserve component, you live a mainly civilian lifestyle so you have to exercise and all that on your own time and be motivated to do it on your own. I can't speak for the Air Guard, but the best part about the Army National Guard and the Army in general is that as long as you don't bomb the ASVAB, you can pretty much pick whatever job you want.
