I started spankin my daughter at 2...she's 4 now. I feel like you gotta put that fear in em early simply so they know there will be consequences. I haven't had to spank her in 2 years, cause she knows if she gets out of line what will happen. My lil dude is 1 now... He gonna learn in a year lol. my 4 year old is spoiled and can be the biggest brat.... she's use to getting her way and will throw the biggest tantrum ever, jumping, screaming, spitting... in most cases i let it slide but at times i gotta shut it down and just me running upon her is good enough, dont even have to pow her with an open hand like her mother does....
